Zoho Mail Pro Tip: Use Read Receipts to Confirm Delivery

Email is a fast and commonly used tool for communication, but it doesn’t always give you the instant confirmation you get from talking in person or over the phone. When you send an email, there’s no way to know if the recipient has actually read it—unless they respond. And when there’s no reply, it can leave you guessing.

Zoho Mail helps reduce this uncertainty with its Read Receipt feature.

Read Receipts
Sometimes, you need a confirmation that your message has been seen. That’s where Read Receipts come in. When this feature is enabled, the person receiving your email will get a prompt asking if they want to confirm that they’ve read the message. If they agree, you’ll get a notification that your email has been opened.

Enabling Read Receipt Requests
Here’s how to turn it on:

  1. Log in to your Zoho Mail account.
  2. Go to Settings > Compose > Read Receipts.
  3. Check the box to enable Read Receipts.

Once this is set up, all your sent emails will prompt recipients to confirm they’ve read them.

Tip:
If you don’t want to request a read receipt for every email, you can turn it on manually for specific messages. While writing an email, go to More Options and select Ask Receipt to request a read confirmation for that email only.
