Zoho CRM Deluge Update: Changes to the Send Mail Task

Zoho CRM Deluge Update: Changes to the Send Mail Task

Hello Enterprise Support Community,

At Zoho, strengthening platform security remains a top priority. As part of this ongoing initiative, Zoho is rolling out an update to the send mail task in Deluge for Zoho CRM, aimed at improving email authenticity and protection.

What’s Changing?

Zoho is updating how sender addresses are handled in the Deluge send mail task. The use of zoho.adminuserid as the sender will no longer be supported.

Going forward, the “from” field will allow only:

  • zoho.loginuserid, or

  • Any email address that has been verified and linked to your Zoho account.

If you require additional sender addresses, please reach out through your Enterprise Support email, and our team will guide you through the verification and approval process.

When Will This Take Effect?

This change will be implemented starting December 20, 2025.

What Will Change for You?

Once the update is live:

  • The Deluge editor will begin validating sender addresses automatically for all send mail tasks.

  • For new scripts, an unsupported sender address will trigger an error and prevent saving until corrected.

  • For existing scripts that currently use zoho.adminuserid:

    • They will continue to run without disruption.

    • However, editing and re-saving these scripts will require updating the sender to a supported address.

Why Are We Making This Update?

This change helps reduce risks such as:

  • Unauthorized email usage

  • Sender impersonation

  • Other email-related security threats

By enforcing the use of verified and authorized sender addresses, Zoho CRM ensures a safer and more trustworthy email experience across Deluge automations.
