Zoho Recruit Form Rules: Automate & Personalize Your Hiring Forms

Enhance the flexibility and control of your Webforms and Candidate Application Forms using the newly introduced Form Rules. These rules allow you to define conditions and actions that dynamically adjust the form based on candidates' responses.
Why Use Form Rules?
Form Rules help create a more streamlined and personalized application process by displaying only the relevant fields based on user input. This reduces clutter, prevents unnecessary data collection, and improves the overall candidate experience. Here's How it works
Form Rules operate by setting up conditions and actions within your Webforms.
Example: Experience-Based Form Customization
Different candidates have varying levels of experience, meaning they may need to provide different details in their applications.
Solution:
By applying a Form Rule based on the response to the “Current Job Title” field:
If the candidate selects "Fresher", fields like "Years of Experience," "Current Salary," and "Work History" remain hidden, making the form simpler.
If the candidate is experienced, these fields become visible, allowing them to enter detailed professional information.
This dynamic customization ensures that each candidate only fills in the details relevant to their background, enhancing accuracy while minimizing unnecessary input.Configurable Actions
You can define specific actions that will be triggered when certain conditions are met. Available actions include:
✅ Show or Hide Fields/Sections – Adjust the form layout dynamically.
✅ Set Mandatory Fields – Ensure essential information is always collected.
✅ Request Attachments – Prompt candidates for relevant documents as needed.
✅ Display Tabular Views – Organize structured data, such as work history, for better clarity.

Note:
A single condition can include up to 25 actions.
Form Rules aren’t just for Webforms—they extend to Candidate Application Forms as well. You can show or hide fields, set them as mandatory, and request specific attachments, just like in Webforms.

With Form Rules in the Candidate Application form, you can
✔ Personalize the application form based on responses.✔ Ensure relevant and accurate data collection.✔ Streamline the process, improving candidate engagement.
