Zoho CRM Enhances Calls, Tasks & Meetings with a Unified Design

Hello everyone,

Zoho CRM is taking a big step toward a unified and seamless UI experience. As part of this journey, Zoho revamped the details page for activity-based modules—Meetings, Calls, and Tasks—to make them cleaner, more consistent, and easier to navigate.

Here’s what’s new and improved:

Timeline Tab  

Previously, in Meetings, Calls, and Tasks, the Timeline tab sat in the right-hand panel, tucked between the Info and Conversations tabs.


Now, it’s been relocated to the main view, right next to the Overview tab, aligning it with the layout in other CRM modules.


This update applies whether or not the record is linked to a contact.

Earlier, the Timeline displayed updates for both the activity and its related records. Moving forward, it will only show activity-specific timeline data.


If you want to see updates for a related record, simply head over to that record’s own Timeline tab.

Meeting Information Section  

All meeting-related fields now have a dedicated home in the Meeting Information section—presented in a clean fields vs. values format to match other modules’ design style.

Call Reminder

Earlier, the call reminder time used to be displayed when hovering over the clock symbol beside the Call Start Time in the Calls record detail page. Now, the call reminder time will separately appear as a value against the Reminder field under the Call Information section.

RSVP Responses  

RSVP buttons for meeting invitations have been moved out of the Participants section and into a new dedicated area called Meeting Invitation for better visibility.


Task Follow-Up Message  

The follow-up message for a task has moved from inside the business card to a success prompt displayed at the top panel.

Close Task Button  

The Close Task button now sits in the top panel, rather than inside the business card—making it easier to find and aligning it with the layout in other modules.


Record is Locked" Message  

If a task record is locked, the lock message (and its details) will now appear in the top panel, instead of inside the business card.

Redesigned Business Card View  

When you click Customize Business Card from the ellipses (···) menu in any module, the Business Card View now opens in a new, redesigned layout—making customization smoother and more intuitive.
