Zoho introduced payment gateways in Zoho Creator just got a major upgrade! Introducing the all-new Payment Gateways section—a centralized, easy-to-use interface to configure and oversee all your payment integrations from one location.

Why this update is important

The revamped Payment Gateways module replaces the older method of using individual connections, offering a seamless and streamlined experience. Here's what makes this update a game-changer:

Unified Management: Handle all your gateway configurations from a single dashboard.

Simplified Setup: Easily connect payment services without dealing with complicated setups.

Regional Filters: View only the gateways that are supported in your selected region.

Extension Support: Enhance functionality with gateway extensions (via Zoho Marketplace, powered by Zoho Checkout).

Multiple Gateways: Offer users more flexibility by linking several payment options.

Access Permissions: Set access controls directly from both edit and live modes of each app.

Wide Gateway Selection: Choose from all the payment providers supported through Zoho Checkout.

Where to locate it

For C6 users: Navigate to Operations > Payment Gateways

For C5 users: Go to Account Setup > Payment Gateways

How it functions

This upgraded experience is powered by Zoho Checkout, Zoho’s internal payment processing system. That means you get full access to every gateway Zoho Checkout supports—including Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, and others. Any new services added to Checkout will automatically become available in Creator too.

Initial Setup:

When you visit Payment Gateways for the first time, you'll be prompted to complete a quick one-time setup to configure your country, state, and preferred currency. This ensures that you only see gateway options relevant to your region.

Once setup is done, you’ll land on the main Payment Gateways dashboard. 

Managing Gateways

To simplify usage, the dashboard is divided into two key areas:

Supported Gateways

View, connect, and manage gateways. Just click on "Authorize" next to a service provider and follow the step-by-step instructions to link it with your app.

Application Access

Decide which Creator apps can use the authorized gateways and manage permissions accordingly.

Action Required

No action is needed from your side.

Any payment gateways previously added using connections will automatically be moved to the new centralized section under Operations.

Feature Availability

This enhancement is available to all C5 and C6 users.

The exact gateways you'll see depend on your data center and region.

Rollout Date

The upgraded Payment Gateways section was officially launched on June 26, 2025, and is now live for all users.
