If you don't have access to your account
If you're currently locked out of your account and can't sign in to it:
- Recover your account using your previously-saved backup verification codes (or) passphrase (in case of OneAuth).
- Or, if you're an organization user, contact your organization administrator to disable MFA for your account. Learn more
If you have access to your account
To disable MFA for your Zoho account
For security reasons we recommend that you not disable MFA. If you want to disable it temporarily, make sure to re-enable it as soon as you can.
- Sign in at accounts.zoho.com.
- Click Multi-factor Authentication in the left menu, then go to MFA modes.
Use the toggle bar on the top-right corner to disable MFA.

Note :
You won't be able to see the toggle, if your admin has enforced MFA for your account. Instead of the toggle, you will see the label
displayed next to MFA Modes. Contact your admin for further clarification.
Once you have disabled MFA, the backup codes you had generated previously will not work anymore. If you choose to re-enable MFA, you will have to
generate new backup codes. You will also have to re-configure application-specific passwords for all your third-party apps when you re-enable MFA.
To re-enable MFA for your account:
- Go to accounts.zoho.com.
- Click Multi-factor Authentication in the left menu, and go to MFA modes.
- Use the toggle bar in the top-right corner.
- Click Enable.
- If needed, select the sessions to terminate, then click Continue.
- Click Generate New Codes and save the new backup verification codes.
The previously configured MFA modes will be activated.
