The PFC group has brought a new post. Let’s explore data enrichment from a broader angle, so you can clearly understand how it works and how to use it effectively. Here’s a quick overview of what data enrichment means and how you can set it up to improve the quality of your CRM module data.

What is data enrichment?  

Data enrichment means adding extra details to your existing records using trusted external sources—information that your lead or customer didn’t directly provide.

With data enrichment, your CRM stays complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
Zoho CRM helps you enrich:

  • Company details such as address, employee count, industry, and website.

  • People details such as job title, employer, contact info, and social profiles.

Zoho CRM automatically fills these details into the correct fields inside your CRM. This entire process is known as data enrichment.

For company data:  

Use Zia’s Company Data Enrichment feature available in Zoho CRM.

Auto-enrichment for company data will be launching soon.

For people data:  

Install and use the WebAmigo extension from the Zoho Marketplace to enrich records in people modules.

You can also explore WebAmigo’s details on data subject rights for a better understanding.

Tip  

Instead of enriching every company record manually, you can automate the process using workflow rules and APIs.

For example, you can create a workflow that automatically fills fields like company size, industry, or key contacts whenever a new account is created.

Use the API provided to build custom functions that map enrichment data to CRM fields. Once added to workflows, records get enriched automatically without any user action.
